Hi! My name is Krista Hughes, and I started this blog to share my adventures and connect with others who love the outdoors as much as I do! I’m based in Summit County, Colorado, and I love spending every minute I can in the mountains…Wandering the Rockies!

How did I get to Summit County, Colorado? I grew up on the East Coast and spent many weekends skiing, hiking, and fishing. My husband (Mike) and I were getting pretty tired of the traffic and long drives required to get to the mountains so seven years ago we decided we were going to make a change. We were ready to move closer to the mountains and decided to settle in Colorado. In 2023, Mike and I left our corporate jobs and bought a van. You can find us using this as our home base for many of our adventures. With so many epic adventures to go on in the Rocky Mountains, in particular Colorado, I decided to start this blog to share my stories and inspire others to make similar ones.
