Keller Mountain Hike, Eagles Nest Wilderness, Silverthorne, Colorado
Written By Krista Hughes
It was forecast to be a beautiful fall day so Mike and I decided to take advantage of the weather and check out Keller Mountain, a peak in the Gore Range we had yet to summit. Most of this trip was off-trail so I’d highly recommend being very comfortable with off-trail navigation before attempting this peak. Our approach included the east ridge of Keller from North Rock Creek Trailhead. This was a beautiful hike to do in the fall with plenty of aspens with yellow leaves to keep us entertained below tree line. Once we got above tree line, the views in every direction were fantastic. This has been one of my favorite hikes in the Gore Range to date.
